Vitamin K

Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin. It’s found in both vegetables and meat and is synthesized through intestinal bacteria. In vegetables, the richest sources are found in leafy greens (broccoli, kale, turnip greens, spinach, cabbage, etc ...). The “K” in vitamin comes from the German word "Koagulation", which is what they called the compound when it was first identified. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood coagulation and helps maintain normal bone health.
