Tea tree oil is naturally antibacterial

Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is a tree that belongs to the Myrtaceae family. It’s native to eastern Australia and is located on the northern coast and in areas adjacent to New South Wales. It grows near streams and swamps. The Aboriginals use the bark to build canoes and small tools and the leaves for cough remedies and skin lesions. The tree was named “Tea Tree” by Captain Cook when he landed in Australia. He tried a drink made with Melaleuca leaves and mistook it for a tea infusion. Tea Tree Oil enhances the functionality of upper respiratory tract function.
