Couch Grass

The couch grass (Agropyron repens) is a herbaceous plant that belongs to the Gramineae family. It’s very common in most of Europe, Africa and Asia. It’s naturalized in most parts of the world and is often considered a weed. It can reach up to 150 cm in height and looks like a dense network of stems that produce a small greenish spike in summer. It’s also called dog grass. Couch grass rhizome is used in herbal medicine because it helps to get rid of body fluids, improves urinary tract function and detoxes the body.
