Calcium

Calcium is one of the most important minerals for the human body. In fact, it’s necessary for the maintaining of normal bones and teeth. Additionally, it contributes to normal blood clotting, normal energy metabolism, normal muscle and digestive enzyme's  function, and normal neurotransmission. When combined with vitamin D, it helps reduce bone mineral loss in postmenopausal women. Low bone mineral density is a health hazard and can result in osteoporotic bone fractures. Calcium is also necessary for the correct growth and development of children’s bone.
