Borage oil

Borage (Borago officinalis L.) is an annual herbaceous plant that belongs to the Boraginaceae family. It probably originally came from the East and then spread to Europe and Central America where it still grows spontaneously. It is cultivated in all temperate areas of the world. It’s a very pleasant plant that has star-shaped flowers that go from violet and blue. Its name comes from the Latin word "borra" (rough woolen fabric) because it has hairs that cover the leaves.
The oil that is extracted from its seeds has precious properties : Borage oil, in fact, is particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid, that is omega 6, good for the skin.
