Biotin

Biotin, also known as Vitamin B8 or H, is a water-soluble Vitamin of the B complex. It can be found both in the animal and plant kingdoms. It is also a component of milk, dairy products, egg yolk and seafood. It is produced in large quantities by intestinal bacteria too. Deficiencies of Biotin are rare and can give rise to skin manifestations (peeling). Vitamin H contributes to normal energy metabolism, to the normal functioning of the nervous system, to the normal metabolism of macronutrients, to normal psychological function, to the maintenance of normal hair and skin.
