Ashwaganda (Withania)

Ashwagandha, or Withania Somnifera, is a plant belonging to the Solanaceae family. It is grown mainly in India and Nepal, but also in Northern Africa and in some areas of the Mediterranean. Also known as Indian ginseng, it is traditionally used in Indian medicine, especially Ayurvedic, as a tonic and adaptogen substance, because it promotes mental well-being and relaxation and is useful when physical and mental fatigue occur.
