Lavender

Medicinal Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill., or Lavandula officinalis) is an evergreen plant that belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It grows in areas up to 800 meters above sea level on sun-exposed dry and stony lands. Its scented leaves are very narrow, which is a unique trait compared to other species of lavender. The flowers grow in spikes. Besides being used for its pleasant scent, Lavender promotes relaxation and sleep during periods of stress and helps balance mood.
