Guarana

Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is an evergreen climbing plant that is native to the Amazon rainforest. It belongs to the Sapindaceae family. It can naturally reach 13 meters in height, but when it’s cultivated it stays in the form of tall shrub and doesn’t grow to be bigger than three meters high so that seed collection can be facilitated. Guarana seeds are high in caffeine, and therefore, are used in the herbal medicine for their revitalizing properties which help fight physical and mental fatigue; additionally, they stimulate the metabolism and burn fats.
