Willow

White Willow (Salix alba L.) belongs to the Salicaceae family. This tree is native to Europe, Asia and North America, and grows up to be about 25 meters in height. It boasts an open canopy and thin, flexible, tough branches. It is characterized by rapid growth and scarce longevity. It is commonly found in humid areas all over Europe and along rivers up to 1000 meters above sea level. White Willow bark is used in herbal medicine because it supports joint function and helps to fight localized tension.
