Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, was isolated and identified in response to a series of research on pernicious anemia. In 1926 it was discovered that in the liver there is a factor that can cure this disease. Vitamin B12 is a red-colored substance that is crystalline, hygroscopic, light-sensitive and highly soluble in water. Animal products such as meat, dairy and eggs contain this vitamin in adequate amounts. Vitamin B12 helps normalize the energy metabolism, assists in normal formation of red blood cells, improves the functioning of the nervous system, psychological function, immune system functioning and helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue.
