Pineapple

Pineapple is a plant that belongs to the Bromeliaceae family. It was present in the American tropics when Columbus landed in Guadeloupe in 1493. Its name comes from the word "anana", which in the native language means "delicious fruit". It later began to be cultivated in Europe and is today one of the most popular tropical fruits in the world. The fruit is used in herbal medicine because of its many properties: it supports digestive function, improves the body’s ability to get rid of excess body liquids, which makes it also helpful for those who suffer from heavy legs. Additionally, it promotes  microcirculation and fights cellulite.
