Molybdenum

Molybdenum is a chemical element (atomic number 42), its symbol is Mo. It’s a very hard silvery white metal, charaterized by having one of the highest melting points. It is important in plant nutrition; in biological systems, it appears in some enzymes including xanthine oxidase.
Its name comes from the Greek word "molybdaina" which means lead mass, because the most common mineral of molybdenum, molybdenite, was confused with natural lead sulfide for a long time. Molybdenum helps to normalize sulfur amino acid metabolism.
