Linden’s herbal benefits

Linden (Tilia L.) is a genus of plants from the Tiliaceae (or the Malvaceae) family and is native to the northern hemisphere. It grows in cool and shady places in areas where chestnut trees and beech trees grow. Its name comes from the Greek name "ptilon" (wing) because the shape of the leaves that accompany the fruit make it easier to spread. Linden has a dual purpose: it facilitates respiratory function of the mucous membranes, contributing to nose and throat health, and helps induce relaxation and sleep during periods of stress.
