Buckthorn

Buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula L.) is an arboreal plant that belongs to the Ramnacee family. It is a native of Europe and Asia. It’s a shrub that reaches 4-5 meters in height and has a few alternate branches, especially growing on the ends.
It prefers moist, sandy soil in lowland forests or mountains, along the banks of rivers or swamps. The bark is the part that is used in phytotherapy.
Buckthorn promotes bowel movement regularity and digestive function.
