Bearberry

Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi L.) is a herbaceous plant of the genus Arctostaphylos. It is native of circumpolar and alpine regions of Northern Europe, Asia and North America. It’s a small shrub that grows to be about 30 cm high that has small red berries and tiny evergreen leathery leaves shaped like a spatula that change every three years. Bearberry is used in the field of herbal medicine because it helps the drainage of body liquids and the function of the urinary tract.
